Jessica Hickman Schneider has over ten years of experience running small, grassroots nonprofit organizations. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health Technology from MCP-Hahnemann University in 1997. Jessica also earned a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University in 2003. Her passion for the “under dog” has lead her to champion several nonprofit causes which she is passionate about, including mental health, the environment and women’s health.

Jessica has facilitated several workshops and taught classes on grant writing, from initial research to putting a winning proposal together. She has also lectured on event fundraising and managing government funding contracts. Jessica’s professional proposal writing has risen well over $1,000,000 for various organizations in the Delaware Valley.

Jessica is an active volunteer with Compeer of Suburban Philadelphia, an organization that pairs volunteers with people who are in mental health recovery in one to one, supportive friendships. She has been matched with her Compeer friend since 1995. Jessica also sits on the Board of Directors of the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania and chairs their Mental Health Advisory Council. She is also a member of the New Hanover Township Recreation Committee, helping to plan and execute recreational programming in her community.

Jessica has been married to her wonderful husband since 1997 and is probably chasing her small daughter around right now, as you are reading this!
